"A Magical Experience"
August, 2016
Love to travel, love magic shows and like to save money? You cannot go wrong by seeing Terry Evanswood at Wonders of Magic in Pigeon Forge, TN. The show was wonderfully entertaining. Terry is fabulous and performs magical events that'll keep you and your family on the edge of your seat during the entire performance. Kids will love it and the price is the most reasonable if purchased thru Reserve Pigeon Forge. I bought a DVD of the show and have already watched it three times. Will go there every time I visit Pigeon Forge.

We recently had a family vacation in pigeon forge and decided to catch a show. My nephew (7 yrs) has issues setting through shows, so we decided to try a magic show. He loved every minute and was amazed. We all where, it's by far the best magic show I've seen. The guys even loved it! Would defiantly recommend and would see again!

Not crowded at all at the 8:00 show. We actually got front row. He is a very nice guy and is so gentle on everything he does. The illusions were fantastic and we will go back again.

"Child level magic, adult level laughs"

Terry did very well in his presentations of his tricks and the show was very entertaining. This is something my wife and I missed when we were in Pigeon Forge just over 3 years ago. I wished Mr. Evanswood was a little more brushed up on his sleight of hand card tricks, but overall he did very well, even though I know how all the tricks were done (including the ring and ribbon). Thanks Terry for dedicating so much of your life to bringing some wonder and smiles to others. We really need it in our time there. It was also very refreshing to hear Terry be upfront about his faith.

Tip: This show is very family friendly, but seems a little too rehearsed for the older crowd.

"Spectacular show!!!"
November, 2015
My 3 daughters and myself have seen most all of the shows in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. This is one of our favorites. Terry Evanswood is a great showman and deserves all of his awards and more. The illusions are great and his crowd interaction, even better. I love the part of the show where he teaches magic to the kids. My girls keep asking when we are going back. Highly recommend !!!

Show was entertaining and suitable for the entire family. Reasonable price and comfortable setting. Theater is small and all seats provides good view of on stage activity. Wonderworks building is interesting, be sure to look up from center of main lobby to view upside down upper part.

"Great Kid Activity"

The show was really well-orchestrated. The magician and his crew made good use of every single minute of the show, and it was enjoyable for both the kids and the adults in our group. It was a very interactive show, which the kids loved, and the adults really loved the illusion tricks...and the slide-of-hand tricks. For the price of the tickets, I would go back and take my other child (who didn't get to go this time). It isn't a dinner show, so if that's what you're after, you may want to find something else, but if you're just looking for good quality family-friendly entertainment, definitely give this one a whirl.

"Amazing performance for the price"

Terry is an excellent magician. I love that he still places emphasis on sleight of hand and card tricks. I've been to several shows in Vegas that had larger sets and props, but this show delivers a stellar performance for a small fraction of Vegas prices. I also liked the inclusion of jokes and humor throughout the performance.

"Amazing illusions, but mediocre performance"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed December 30, 2017
Terry Evanswood is obviously an experienced and talented magician, and it was fun to see some of the incredible and well-executed stage illusions he has in the show. However, my family left with more complaints than compliments. Our main problem with it was Terry’s overall performance. He seemed to be phoning it in nearly the whole show, with some moments when he perked up a bit. I don’t know if it was just a bad night for him (we were there at the late show on Dec 28) or if he’s just burnt out after 22 years of doing these shows, but it made the experience somewhat painful to watch. (Please note that this did NOT apply to his assistant named “Jessie,” she was an absolute joy to watch and seemed to be having a wonderful time every time she was on stage. She was our favorite part of the show!) Our second issue was the “joke” portion of the show, when the magic stopped for 5-10 minutes while he and Jessie stood on stage and told painfully bad Christmas-related jokes and then playfully berated the audience when we didn’t laugh at them. This was really difficult to sit through and added absolutely nothing to the show, and was made worse by the aforementioned lack of joy in Terry while this was going on. I would encourage them to cut this part out completely; I would have preferred a shorter show without this part than having to sit through it and be forced to laugh. Finally, there was just too much filler content. A projector screen comes down repeatedly during the performance with advertisements or other messages that didn’t add much to the show. Just make the show shorter, please. Based on the ratings and reviews we really expected this to be spectacular. We left unable to help comparing this show unfavorably to Maxwell Blade in Hot Springs who blew us away last year (I wrote a review for him there which you could read if interested.). We were hoping for something equally good from Terry Evanswood, and although the show was worth the reasonable price, it didn’t meet our expectations.
