Description

from Smoky Mountain Opry
The Smoky Mountain Opry’s “Feel the Music” takes you on an incredible journey through some of music’s greatest all-time hits, with a huge variety of musical genres and styles.

You’ll clap and sing along with country chart toppers by Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, and Garth Brooks – and enjoy some of the classics that paved the way for country music.

In a brand, new section this year – we pay tribute to the bands of classic rock. You’ll be moving and grooving in your seat as we perform hits by Journey, Kansas, Meatloaf, and Pat Benatar along with many more.

And always a crowd favorite we bring music from some of the biggest shows on Broadway to life with awesome scale – Lion King is returning this year as well as all new productions from Young Frankenstein and Wicked. The fun continues with music from the Silver Screen, including an appearance from Frozen’s Elsa and Olaf, and theme songs from James Bond, Top Gun, Titanic, Footloose and more.

Bringing to the stage a talented cast of singers and dancers we also feature high-flying aerialists and quick change artists, comedy and juggling and an awesome live band.

Special effects galore including lasers, confetti, flying musicians, snow, fiber optics, fire cannons, and volcano foggers – just to name a few!

And of course, we wrap up with an inspiring gospel section and patriotic finale including a military tribute that will surely leave you wanting more?

In November and December, the Smoky Mountain Opry becomes the multi-million dollar Christmas at the Opry production that features flying sugar plum fairies, soaring angels, dancing elves, enchanted reindeer, Jolly Ol' Saint Nick and state of the art special effects. Most importantly, however, they feature the celebration of the birth of Christ with the area's largest living nativity.

This was an unbelievable show! The variety of music from country, to broadway, to gospel, to patriotic and more...it was amazing. These extremely multi-talented performers will keep you thoroughly entertained and it is for the entire family. The costumes were beautiful. The strength of the silk aerialists was incredible and their performances were flowing and beautiful. Everyone was so friendly. Don't miss this show!

"Excellent show!"
July, 2017
Went to see this show on 07/05/2017. We really got our money's worth. The show had something for everyone. The juggler/comedian was great! Also the singers and dancers were terrific. I don't why we hadn't gone to the Smoky Mountain Opry before now. We will be going back to see this again! Good clean family entertainment.

"Disappointing show"
May, 2017
Attended this show in 2014 and it was great! This time 5/20/2017 was very disappointing. Talent ok. Way overdid classic rock segment. Broadway songs poor quality, no Sanitra, No Oldies segment. Why in the world would u elimate one of the best parts. The MC is good as usual. I don't know what has happened since 2014 but it seems they have lost a lot of good talent. The show was overall "sloppy" and unprofessional. The MC can not b expected to carry the show.

Tip: Don't go expecting a lot. I was expecting a repeat of a great show that was seen in 2014.

"Still Great Show"

I originally saw this show 2 years ago. It has always been one of the biggest and best non-dinner shows in town. Two years ago I gave it five stars. This time I gave it only 4 because I feel like the selection of songs for the most part are very dated compared to the original production. They do a nice mix of country, Broadway, gospel and a little rock and roll. I am 70 years old, but with all the great current country singers, great current Broadway shows, and rock and roll singers, the ones they chose were dated and not appealing to a broad age range audience. When I think of songs I like to sing along to, the artist and songs they chose weren't on the list. The cast of singers and dancers were outstanding, I just feel the selection of music may appeal to a group in my age group but few younger audiences. Pigeon Forge is a great place for shows and music and I feel more current music would appeal to a larger audience. What was amazing and great was the couple that did the ribbon aerialist and quick change artist. They truly left me with my jaw dropped wanting to see even more. They were fantastic. Always fun and hilarious is Slim Chance. I am so glad he is still there. His jugging act and comedy would be worth the price of admission by itself. Thank you Slim. I am also appreciative of their great tribute to our military, police, fire departments and EMT's. With 3 sons and 2 grandsons in the military, I am glad to see this much patriotism at our shows. This was particularly appropriate the night we attended because there was a 93 year old veteran in attendance. I paid extra to sit in row C. Great view but a little too close to the high stage.

So we chose this show because when we ordered hatfield and McCoy tickets, these came at a discounted price. We loved the music and singers, they were so talented, but the show overall was lacking. And the seats were not very comfy. It was a great experience, just not one we would pay full price for or see again. Oh, and you must like a variety of music to enjoy it. My teenage sister wasn't as much of a fan compared to me and my parents who knew more of the music. But just to add, the popcorn and drinks were very reasonably priced.
