Description

from Smoky Mountain Opry
The Smoky Mountain Opry’s “Feel the Music” takes you on an incredible journey through some of music’s greatest all-time hits, with a huge variety of musical genres and styles.

You’ll clap and sing along with country chart toppers by Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, and Garth Brooks – and enjoy some of the classics that paved the way for country music.

In a brand, new section this year – we pay tribute to the bands of classic rock. You’ll be moving and grooving in your seat as we perform hits by Journey, Kansas, Meatloaf, and Pat Benatar along with many more.

And always a crowd favorite we bring music from some of the biggest shows on Broadway to life with awesome scale – Lion King is returning this year as well as all new productions from Young Frankenstein and Wicked. The fun continues with music from the Silver Screen, including an appearance from Frozen’s Elsa and Olaf, and theme songs from James Bond, Top Gun, Titanic, Footloose and more.

Bringing to the stage a talented cast of singers and dancers we also feature high-flying aerialists and quick change artists, comedy and juggling and an awesome live band.

Special effects galore including lasers, confetti, flying musicians, snow, fiber optics, fire cannons, and volcano foggers – just to name a few!

And of course, we wrap up with an inspiring gospel section and patriotic finale including a military tribute that will surely leave you wanting more?

In November and December, the Smoky Mountain Opry becomes the multi-million dollar Christmas at the Opry production that features flying sugar plum fairies, soaring angels, dancing elves, enchanted reindeer, Jolly Ol' Saint Nick and state of the art special effects. Most importantly, however, they feature the celebration of the birth of Christ with the area's largest living nativity.

"Excellent show!"
July, 2017
Went to see this show on 07/05/2017. We really got our money's worth. The show had something for everyone. The juggler/comedian was great! Also the singers and dancers were terrific. I don't why we hadn't gone to the Smoky Mountain Opry before now. We will be going back to see this again! Good clean family entertainment.

Tip: It may not be as entertaining for small children just because it is more of an older persons kind of entertainment .

"Disappointing show"
May, 2017
Attended this show in 2014 and it was great! This time 5/20/2017 was very disappointing. Talent ok. Way overdid classic rock segment. Broadway songs poor quality, no Sanitra, No Oldies segment. Why in the world would u elimate one of the best parts. The MC is good as usual. I don't know what has happened since 2014 but it seems they have lost a lot of good talent. The show was overall "sloppy" and unprofessional. The MC can not b expected to carry the show.

Tip: Don't go expecting a lot. I was expecting a repeat of a great show that was seen in 2014.

I am totally amazed at some of the bad reviews. We saw the Christmas show and thought it was just beautiful and so entertaining. It was a great production with a nice variety of entertainment that everyone could enjoy. Slim Chance is so talented and funny. The living nativity was just beautiful. I don't know how they will top that show next year. We also saw the regular show in the summer and enjoyed that one as well. This show is more pricey than others in the area but it never disappoints. We live in Sevierville part time and usually take in this show twice a year, once in the summer and then again at Christmas time. We are looking forward to their shows in 2018.

Very poorly produced show. Although it was Jan 4, the Christmas show was still playing. Extremely boring. We left at intermission, because we were all falling asleep. Karaoke has sounded better than most of the performers. We are a music loving family and were very disappointed. Definitely will not waste the money or time to see this again.

The show had a positive message and had a few really good singers. But the production value as far as technical aspect was mediocre at best. Saw a Christmas program at a mega church in dallas that had a higher level of production value I didn’t think it was worth what it cost

My husband and I enjoyed the Christmas show as well as the regular show. We went to the Christmas show in December. We went to the regular show October 22016. We sat in the center section this time in December and we had really good seats for the show. Well worth the money!

What a great show. The talent is great, and the theme of the show was amazing. I've seen many great shows in Vegas, and this ranks right up there with them. The Christian themed portion of the show was beyond words. I will be returning next year so my mother can witness it.
