Description

from Smoky Mountain Opry
The Smoky Mountain Opry’s “Feel the Music” takes you on an incredible journey through some of music’s greatest all-time hits, with a huge variety of musical genres and styles.

You’ll clap and sing along with country chart toppers by Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, and Garth Brooks – and enjoy some of the classics that paved the way for country music.

In a brand, new section this year – we pay tribute to the bands of classic rock. You’ll be moving and grooving in your seat as we perform hits by Journey, Kansas, Meatloaf, and Pat Benatar along with many more.

And always a crowd favorite we bring music from some of the biggest shows on Broadway to life with awesome scale – Lion King is returning this year as well as all new productions from Young Frankenstein and Wicked. The fun continues with music from the Silver Screen, including an appearance from Frozen’s Elsa and Olaf, and theme songs from James Bond, Top Gun, Titanic, Footloose and more.

Bringing to the stage a talented cast of singers and dancers we also feature high-flying aerialists and quick change artists, comedy and juggling and an awesome live band.

Special effects galore including lasers, confetti, flying musicians, snow, fiber optics, fire cannons, and volcano foggers – just to name a few!

And of course, we wrap up with an inspiring gospel section and patriotic finale including a military tribute that will surely leave you wanting more?

In November and December, the Smoky Mountain Opry becomes the multi-million dollar Christmas at the Opry production that features flying sugar plum fairies, soaring angels, dancing elves, enchanted reindeer, Jolly Ol' Saint Nick and state of the art special effects. Most importantly, however, they feature the celebration of the birth of Christ with the area's largest living nativity.

"Disappointing show"
May, 2017
Attended this show in 2014 and it was great! This time 5/20/2017 was very disappointing. Talent ok. Way overdid classic rock segment. Broadway songs poor quality, no Sanitra, No Oldies segment. Why in the world would u elimate one of the best parts. The MC is good as usual. I don't know what has happened since 2014 but it seems they have lost a lot of good talent. The show was overall "sloppy" and unprofessional. The MC can not b expected to carry the show.
Tip: Don't go expecting a lot. I was expecting a repeat of a great show that was seen in 2014.

This is a great show, it has something for everyone, country music, rock, R&B and gospel. The performers are truly professionals. The singing, dancing and the band especially the awesome guitar player. It reminds me of the broadway shows in Vegas. It was more than I expected. A must see. If anyone thinks this show is boring, they are boring. I cannot wait to visit Pigeon Forge to see the show again.

It was a good show but we were hoping for more country, old country, gospel & bluegrass. Not the broadway & cinema music got. We REALLY were VERY DISAPPOINTED that the young man who played the violin & sang one solo, did not have more of a featured singing part in the show. He was very good!!!! We enjoyed his singing more then the the dark haired girl & the black girl. Neither were very good. Especially during the Rock segment of the show! I hope this changes by the time we come back...we WILL be back!

"Definitely Not a Country Opry"

The show is OK but its not what I expected with a name like Smokey Mountain Opry. It's more of a musical show with Broadway excerpts and hard Rock music. Not what we came for. Didn't see a Banjo or Mandolin in the band. We left at intermission.
