Description

from Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Adventures
Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Adventures Dinner & Show is a riveting, high energy and romantic production that takes guests on an exciting journey back to a time that tells a tale of Dolly’s own family history. Adventures and a spectacular old-fashioned Hootenanny feast await as the mountains are filled with high-flying action, music and more!

The great traditions of the Smoky Mountain people are proud and steeped in history. Food, Faith, and Family is the fiber that is woven throughout these mountains along with rivalry and romance. Our show includes a special love story on how Avie Lee Owens and Lee Parton got together and became Dolly’s Mom and Dad. However, it was not before a bit of competition had taken place between the Partons and Owens in the Great Smoky Mountain Family Contests.

Our story is filled with music, laughter, edge-of-your-seat special effects, thrilling specialty acts, competitions, and romance– the type that brings families together. Acrobatic performers will display their abilities on aerial silks suspended three stories above the stage; perform a balletic display above the stage on suspended hoops called Lyras; and will defy gravity in and on the amazing Electro-wheel, all within the context of Parton's exciting story.

Arrive early and enjoy the spirit of thrills and fun. Inside Bass Mercantile, kids of all ages can get a makeover and become a hearty Mountaineer or a beautiful Mountain Princess! We have snacks, music and more.

Every family gathering needs a hearty meal! Dolly’s family members have brought their best dishes for Avie Lee’s Sunday Dinner!

Avie Lee’s Sunday Dinner Includes:
  • Dorothy Jo’s Homemade biscuit

  • Grandma’s Creamy Vegetable Soup

  • Avie Lee’s Fried Chicken

  • Pulled Pork, scalded & cooked over at Grandpa Jake’s

Booked the show before leaving home. So glad we did. I do not regret one thing about Dolly's new dinner attraction. It has new music and some new lyrics to "These Old Bones" (One of my favorite Dolly songs, she knows how to tell a story) The show has features for all to enjoy, animals, comedy, stunts, etc. You will be entertained all while enjoying a great meal. Only thing missing is there is no pre show like at Dixie Stampede. We enjoyed show much we went again before going home.

Very similar to Dixie Stampede. High wire acts, daredevil, lumber jack and a beautiful store of how Dolly's parents met. The food was more than filling and really good. Use your Dollywood season pass for a discount.

"Show was a disappointment"

The actors were amazing but the story line was a farce. Seeing those pole dancers (lol) scurrying up those poles was unbelievable. I was expecting something like the She-kon-o-hey (spelling probably wrong) show from a couple of years back. It is billed as a story of Dolly's family history; that could not be how that relationship started. surely. The meal was passable (chicken was fantastic) but did not match the listed menu. I can't help comparing it to Dixie Stampede and it falls far short. We will see DS again & again but will not waste money on SMA. Show was 1 hour.

The food is great similar to Dixie Stampede. The show is very good kiddos couldn't take their eyes off the stage. Lots of neat tricks and flips, the dog part of the show is pretty cool. Loved the acrobatics! Will keep you on your toes!
