"Dissapointed in show"
November, 2015
We were in R2 at edge, couldn't see much ! The angel was beautiful if we could have seen her we only saw the back side. Couldn't see much of the decorations on top, just a rock. Would we go back ? Probably not price to much for what we saw. My 4 year granddaughter wanted to leave the first 20 mins. of the show. Maybe it would be better if we could have gotten a seat in the middle so she could see. We really looked forward to taking her to the Christmas Show ! Four Adults , Two Children, so sad we couldn't see anything nothing but back side of things ! Would I recommend this show ? NO !!! Sorry Dolly !!!
Tip: Watch where YOU set !

"Holly Jolly Christmas"
February, 2015
Most children adore their grandmothers but my twin sons, now 28, were especially fond of my mother because she helped me raise them. I was divorced from their father when they were very young. Being a single parent; working full time with the full responsibility of caring for twins, having my mom around to fill in when I needed her made her my special angel. She was the only help I had. So when she died this past September, our family felt such a great loss. We struggled through Thanksgiving without her. One of my son's draped my mother's apron on a chair at the dinner table! Needless to say, it was difficult to enjoy that meal. So, I decided what we needed for Christmas was a change of venue. I decided to renew some pleasant childhood memories. My sons had seen the Dixie Stampede show when visiting Gatlinburg when they were teens and loved it! I decided to try and make it happen again. I got online and within minutes, we were set thanks to the efficiency of the site. I called the boys with the news that we had tickets and they were thrilled! We spent 3 days in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge and for a little while, the pain of losing my mom wasn't so overwhelming. My mother loved Christmas. I know she would have wanted me to do something to make her grandsons happy. I did my best! We were together as a family and we had a holly jolly Christmas.
Tip: Take a healthy appetite to the show. If you eat before you go, you'll miss out on enjoying some really tasty food. Don't worry that you have no utensils, that's part of the fun!!

"Holiday show was great!"

We have attended the regular show in the past (always good) & this was our first Holiday show. A great holiday show!!! The experience starts with a pre show trio of musicians who fill the 30-45 minutes before entering the arena with country holiday music. Non alcoholic fruity theme beverages & light snacks can be purchased. Upon entering the arena guests are ushered to the bench seating & meet the server. Very limited drink choices; coke (no diet), sweet tea (NOT fresh brewed) & water are brought. The show begins and is a well coreographed, has beautiful costumes, amazing animals, talented performers and is totally engrossing plus completely entertaining. Dinner is brought out in stages while the show runs and yes, you do eat with your hands...no silverware (not even spoons for the soup). Food is plentiful and good. The entire time, from arrival to departure, runs efficiently, is a positive family friendly experience and something not to miss if in the area.

I took my wife here for her birthday, and she was just amazed at how great this place is. It is a must see if you are visiting Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. It is about 10 minutes from Gatlinburg. The food is absolutely delicious and the show is awesome. They have different shows for different times of the year as well. It is great for couples or for families too. All the staff are very helpful and friendly when trying to find your seats. We will definitely be back again.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we booked the tickets. It definately saved time to book online and pick the tickets up at the ticket office a day ahead. We went early for the pre-show. It starts 45 minutes before the show. When you come in, you enter into a large room with long table seating. This is where you watch the pre-show. They have virgin frozen drinks, soft drinks, popcorn, and nachos for sale. Once the pre-show is over, you are told to file into the theatre where you are directed to your seat. Each row has a long table and cushion bench. We were the first people to get to our row and were able to sit on the end. The rest of our row filed in from the other end. Our server got us drinks right away. There is no alcohol served here. Once the host is introduced he explains that they do not use silverware here. Everything is eaten with your hands. The first course is creamy vegetable soup. The bowl has a handle so you can drink the soup. It was very good. The meal consisted of a small roasted chicken, a slice of pork, corn on the cob, half of a baked potatoe, and a biscuit. Everything was delicious. They provide wet wipes on the table. The dessert was an apple turnover that was also very good. At the end you get a warm damp towel to wipe your hands. As for the show, it was really great. They not only have horses, but other animals too. The actors did a fantastic job. It was very entertaining.

My husband of just 10 months, has been several times in the past, so he takes me for Valentines Day February 2017. I had no idea what to expect. I was just without words with the preshow. Three men played a variety of music even Lynerd Skynerd on a banjo I say! Dolly's own musicians performs the preshow and it was just amazing to see. The Dixie Stampede show and dinner just topped off the evening. The show, which included horses, steers, cows, and other surprise animals, just left me with my mouth open and pushing roasted chicken and corn on the cobb in it. The food was the best. In a serious of rounds you eat during the entire show. Well worth your time and money. I noticed the children around us and they never made a move. Very entertaining. Go, check it out. Thanks Dolly!!!!!
