"Excellent customer service!"
November, 2018 NEW
My family and I enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean. During our stay, our stroller tires went flat. When I asked the front desk person where I might be able to get them pumped up, she offered for the maintenance man to take care of them for me. Very friendly staff all around! We will stay here again.

Awesome motel where they treat you like family. Right upon arrival one of my lil ones got sick on the balcony . Front desk got someone right over to clean up. House keeping was very nice & kept us well stocked on the things we needed.

"Decent place to stay on a budget"
September, 2018
We had a smoking room but it didn't smell like smoke. It have a strong very funny smell kinda musty. We used febreeze daily and was fine. We have always stayed in smoking rooms and have never encountered a smell like this. The room was clean. We had issues with the water temperature in the shower. It would be fine then hot, then cold, the fine, the burning hot, then cold, ect. It kept cycling threw those temperatures every few minutes. I love really hot showers but when it would get really hot it even hurt me.
They had multiple vending machines and washees and dryers. The breakfast was average. Krispy cream donuts, cereal, yogurt, toast, waffles, and things like that. They did have at least 2 toasters.
Both pools and hot tubs were great. They were clean and never crowded. You do have to get your towel for the pool at the front desk before swimming and then your suppose to put it in a hamper at the pool before you go back to your room. The pool towels had a blue strip on them. I found that a little inconvenient. I didn't really want to walk to my room in a bathing suit only or put my shorts back on and get them wet.
Besides that the staff was really friendly and there is free coffee in the lobby by the check-in counter.
I would consider staying here again, but would try a non smoking room maybe it dont have the same bad smell.

"My Experience at Norma Dan Motel"
August, 2018
Excellent private room off to itself. The Jacuzzi was excellent, bed comfortable, room clean, and no problems with the air conditioning. The only critique I might have is kids and drinking adults being at and in the pool at late hours. They were very noisy. I couldn't hear them well from my room, but the poolside guests were probably quite annoyed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Really friendly staff! It's an older, smaller place and not exactly what we thought or saw advertised on Basically, you get what you pay for! It was alright but not somewhere we would stay again. The breakfast wasn't much!

I have stayed at Norma Dan twice. Both times have been excellent. The beds are so incredibly comfortable. The rooms are nice and clean. The continental breakfast is simple but just what you need. Donuts, cereal, bagels, oatmeal, English muffins, juice and coffee. I love the location it is at the end of Pigeon Forge closer to Gatlinburg. It’s perfect location in between the two. Will definitely be back.

Hotel was clean and plenty of fresh towels were brought to us daily. This is the 2nd time staying at the Norma Dan, and will definitely stay again in the near future. Location is near a lot of restaurants and directly across the street from Dolly’s Stampede.

"Just what I needed after a long day's ride"

Having worked my way through the carnival of lights, attractions and traffic of Pigeon Forge my motorcycle and I were exhausted and ready to call it a day. Working my way out of the seemingly endless line of SUVs, vans and cars packed with wide-eyed kids I was attracted to a discreet looking motel on my way out which wasn't screaming "sleep here!" Perhaps it was the odd name, Norma Dan, which triggered me to turn around and work my way back to their reception office. I was greeted with southern grace by two women who exuded warmth and helpful advice as well as a comfortable yet slightly dated room which provided all I needed. I could park my bike less than 10 feet from the door under an extended roofline which offered some protection from weather. Perfect! And the cost was under $50 which was a pleasant surprise from the usual over-priced accommodations. My room was unexpectedly quiet and gave me a great night's sleep.

Stayed 5 nites in Room 220. Had 2 queen beds. Super clean, bed extremely comfortable. Nice view of Parkway. Reasonably priced. Staff very pleasing. Easy ck in/ck out. Cons: bathroom handle hard to pull up to wash hands; breakfast minimal in variety. Only cereal, Eggo waffles, make your own oatmeal, Krispy Creme donuts (excellent), yogurt, & deviled eggs, coffee & oj, bread, bagles, & english muffins. Would liked to have had a hot bar with meat, gravy, scrambled eggs, too. Will stay again!!!
