"Amazing Vacation Amazing Place!"
June, 2016
This was our second stay at Glenstone Lodge and I must say they are very consistent. The room was clean and everything worked as it should, wifi was nice and didn't drop out or lag. It can get a little hot in the indoor pool area but it was really, nice with the waterfalls, and the deep section is separate from the shallower section. The water I side is very warm for those that do not like cold pools, however the outdoor pool was much cooler if you like that also. The staff were polite and handled all our questions even when we locked ourself out of our room. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have children.

Tip: It is a busy large lodge so request a room on the backside if you're not with a family.

"Very pleasant stay"
April, 2015
I took my daughter & two grandchildren, ages 6 & 8, for a 2 day stay @ Glenstone Lodge. It was awesome! Kids loved the indoor pool; queen suite was quiet (mountain view), spacious, comfortable, & clean. Staff (all of them!) were friendly & helpful! Breakfast buffet had many selections, convenient & reasonably priced. Internet was not working consistently.

Tip: Historic Trail is a couple blocks off the main drag (Parkway) in Gatlinburg. Parkway traffic was horrible so getting to the hotel takes a while.

Great little place about 1/3 mile from strip. Nice easy walk to everything. Could use a little updating but overall it's great. Indoor pool was great. Hot tub could use a little work. Have a 9.99 all you can eat breakfast that is ok. no wait like all other places around.

"Last minute getaway for 2"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

My husband and I made a last minute run to Gatlinburg for the evening. The indoor pool was great fun. The hotel was clean. It is older, rooms have been updated, beds were comfy, but the pillows were awful. They were very thin with no support, bad night to forget mine at home. We would stay again but I will definitely bring my own pillows.

"Wonderful hotel!"

My family stayed at this hotel for a week. I was a little concerned because of the mixed reviews, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was extremely clean, the staff were friendly, it was a fast easy check in. The hotel has two pools, and indoor and outdoor. The indoor pool was amazing. It is a two tier pool with a waterfall. The hottub is connected to the bottom pool, and was very relaxing. There was plenty of seating and even a very small mini putt putt golf area. The flooring and carpet near the elevator on our floor needs replaced, but not a big deal. The room we stayed at was a junior suite with a balcony. Our balcony faced towards the front of the hotel. It was actually very quiet with a beautiful view of the mountains. The room was updated, and very clean. The bathroom was a little small, but the room itself was huge. We had a king bed, and a couch with a pull out bed. The bed was very clean and comfortable. The only complaints that we had were the walls seemed thin, and there was no microwave in the room. They had a microwave that was free to use downstairs, but that was a little inconvenient. Other then that our stay has been AMAZING! This will definelty be our new family tradition 😊😙. The staff was more then accommodating, the breakfast (9.99 per person) was delicious and the housekeeping does an immaculate job.

"A friendly modest hotel that helped us at the last minute during Hurricane Irma"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed October 11, 2017 NEW
My fiance' and I were all set to go to Myrtle Beach for our vacation. But Hurricane Irma put a damper on our plans. They put a state of emergency in place and we decided to change our plans for Gatlinburg. The Glenstone Lodge offered us a discount because we had to change our plans due to the hurricane. We later found out that they did their best to accommodate many of the evacuees from Florida and Georgia. We found the check in to be friendly fast and easy. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of ample parking. The room was pretty clean and our king size bed was quite comfortable. The sink area was outside the bathroom, but that was ok with us. The bath tub floor was a bit spongy, but we managed. This hotel has a pool outside that I did not see anyone use because the weather was not hot enough. The inside pool was different. It had a unique waterfall and two separate swimming areas. It also had a hot tub that was quite hot that had no jets. The lower pool was about 3 to 5 foot deep and the upper pool was 7 foot to about 5 foot that overlooked the lower pool. It was fairly clean, but could use some upgrades. That main waterfall does not run all the time. I found the white noise from the pool and the room air conditioner to be just fine for sleeping. The walkways had a strong odor of chlorine from the pool. I did not find that the smell entered our room. There was plenty of lounge chairs in the pool area. It was fine if you can handle a little noise, a bit of chlorine smell, and some heat. Great for those watching young kids swim that don't want to enter the water. I even used the putting green for some fun. It has all kinds of slopes and they let me borrow a putter and several golf balls. It is great if you plan on doing some putt putt on your trip. The hotel is a walk up and down a hill to the downtown. If the walk is not for you, you can wait and pay for a trolley that stops right in front of the hotel. I didn't see many people use it though. We walked to the downtown and ate at various restuarants in town and on the way down hill. This hotel offers a breakfast that was about $6.99. Your drinks were extra. It was not a bad price and not a bad meal for a change instead of paying more for a downtown breakfast. They have plenty of brochures and coupons that can help you on your trip. The front desk made some phone calls to find out if Cades Cove was open for us to check out. That was very nice. The front desk offered some suggestions on restaurants, entertainment, and attractions. They even told some good stories of bear sightings in and around the hotel. I unfortunately never saw a bear in the wild on our trip. We had two little incidents with housekeeping. We informed the front desk and they addressed the situation. They gave us a free breakfast. One of the front desk workers gave us some way out of our way directions to go around Pigeon Forge on our way home. We can live with it. But next time, we will just drive stop and go through the awful Pigeon Forge car show. The hotel is priced reasonable. The location is pretty good. It is a very short drive to Roaring Fork Motor Nature Ttrail. We saved on parking fees. It is clean. It is friendly. If we were to use it again, we just hope they make a few upgrades here or there.ar
