"Amazing Vacation Amazing Place!"
June, 2016
This was our second stay at Glenstone Lodge and I must say they are very consistent. The room was clean and everything worked as it should, wifi was nice and didn't drop out or lag. It can get a little hot in the indoor pool area but it was really, nice with the waterfalls, and the deep section is separate from the shallower section. The water I side is very warm for those that do not like cold pools, however the outdoor pool was much cooler if you like that also. The staff were polite and handled all our questions even when we locked ourself out of our room. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have children.

Tip: It is a busy large lodge so request a room on the backside if you're not with a family.

"Very pleasant stay"
April, 2015
I took my daughter & two grandchildren, ages 6 & 8, for a 2 day stay @ Glenstone Lodge. It was awesome! Kids loved the indoor pool; queen suite was quiet (mountain view), spacious, comfortable, & clean. Staff (all of them!) were friendly & helpful! Breakfast buffet had many selections, convenient & reasonably priced. Internet was not working consistently.

Tip: Historic Trail is a couple blocks off the main drag (Parkway) in Gatlinburg. Parkway traffic was horrible so getting to the hotel takes a while.

"Very Clean"

We stayed at the Glenstone for our church’s youth retreat. I had not been there in years and was a bit concerned about cleanliness. The rooms had been updated and the beds very comfortable. The rooms were extremely clean- I was very pleased. Yes, the Glenstone is showing wear in places. But it was clean! Our meeting room was perfect. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning. It was very good!

First time visiting this area. After spending a week at a lodge 30 minutes away, this one by far was much better. Even though the room was facing the outside parking lot, it was pretty cool. So cool that one night while me and my family were sitting in our chairs outside we saw a black bear. Being able to walk around town was great too. Thank you for a great stay.

"Very old and outdated with paper thin walls. "

I booked this hotel for a fun overnight birthday surprise for me 7 year old son. When we walked into the lobby the smell of chlorine was overwhelming and the grand staircase fashioned ripped carpet on each stair. Everything is very outdated and in need of a good painting and update. I wouldn’t say it was dirty but because of it being under kept it felt that way. The room was ok but again old. There were stains on the comforter too. As far as the noise level, I could here the conversations and laughter of the people in the next room as if they were sharing ours. The jacuzzi looked grey in color so we avoided that all together. The kids enjoyed the swimming but we had to leave after about 45 minutes because my eyes where burning so bad. The location was great! Only a couple blocks from Main Street! We walked to everything! There isn’t even complimentary coffee in the morning unless you want to use the tiny coffee machine in the room with limited powder creamer and sugar. This place was truly just a disappointment. We loved the trip but will choose to stay elsewhere when we return. I should have taken more pictures but honestly, we spent very little time here.

"We really really wanted to like this Place again"

So a little background we are predisposed to like the Glenstone Lodge, This was our 3rd or 4th stay there the first being our Honeymoon for several days 35 year ago and this place was one of the best in town the indoor pool area and all were great. Since then we have probably been bact 3 other times the last being in 2004/5 if i recall correctly and had no complaints. Times change the old girl is ran down peeling paint cheap reno of bathrooms with bathfitter tubs that move when you step into them. The pool area is ran down mold concrete falling off to see rebar and paint peeling everywhere. It now caters to the group youth crowds which means the pool area is a continuous running noise fest till 11pm and you cant get near the pool as the groups camp out for hours after they are done with the convention center. Now it was Jan and of course Gburg is empty you can stay at many run of the mill hotels for 50 a night and other places with indoor pools for 75 we paid over 100 a night to return here and use the pool area. Sadly we both said unless we here there has been a massive reno we will chose other options for winter getaway. If you do chose the glenstone make sure you don't get near the pool the noise from just the fans and water you can hardly hear the tv or talk in your room add in 200 moron teenagers and forget even being able to think. The staff was all nice fixed the hot tub when it went cold and where all friendly thus the only reason I give this place 2 stars. Owners please hire someone that knows how to reno this place don't try and do it on the cheap....

"Grandparents and Granddaughters Weekend"

The employees of the hotel were kind and helpful. We had a suite and loved it. Plenty of room to play games at the dining room table. We stayed here after our niece suggested it as they had stayed before. We chose to come here because we could walk to town and because of their pools. Even though it was about record cold we still swam although I enjoyed the hot tub more! We did walk to town and when to the Elkmont Ghost town. Hiked in the snow. It was lots of fun for our granddaughters. We would go back for sure. Thank you.
