You can't find a more peaceful, modern, well-kept campground than Cove Creek. The owners and staff are VERY friendly and helpful, check in/out is a breeze, and the RV slots are immaculate. The pool is clean, the shower facilities have four large showers and ample room for dressing, and the laundry sports fairly new machines. We stayed in this resort for a full week, and were very satisfied. Our ONLY true complaint is that there are no shade trees. The RV pads are nice, but during the summer they get very hot with no opportunity for relief. The WiFi is a little spotty too... but that's pretty much our experience in any campground/hotel. To sum it up... If you don't want the hustle & bustle, traffic, lights and noise of the three big Smoky Mountain tourist traps (Sevierville, Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge), this is the place for you! The location is perfect for seeing the sights or hiking trails within two hours of Sugarlands side of the park. (If you're not familiar, GSMNP is huge and you don't get anywhere quickly!) One caveat - this little area of the world rolls up the sidewalks at about 5pm. If you want to go out for a meal after 5pm, you'll need to travel into Townsend. There looked to be many good places to eat there. Thank you Cove Creek. We truly enjoyed our stay. If we come back to the Smokies, we'll be back to see you!
This is a awesome campground they can accommodate any size camper and it has beautiful views of the mountains and a great location, I'm a resident camper at Cove Creek and they are really great people, along with several places to go to eat not far from the campground. I give them a 5+ rating, your close to Pigeon Forge just 8 miles down the road and 8 miles to Townsend, Then Cades Cove is not far. Come and enjoy the Great Smokey mountains and come camping at Cove Creek RV Resort.
Bowling Green, KY
Stayed at Cove Creek 3 nights. It's 8 miles off the main strip which isn't too bad. Sites were huge. Bathroom was very nice and always clean. There is a (free) gameroom that had 2 air hockey tables, fusball table, ping pong table, and a table for board games or puzzles. Pool looked really nice (too cold to use). My only complaint would be that there are signs stating the bathhouse will be close from 12pm-1pm, but the workers would start cleaning around 11. I was trying to get ready for the day and felt rushed and not wanted in there, so I would just leave and try to get ready in the pop up.
Get out of the noise and crowds of Pigeon Forge and visit Cove Creek RV Resort. You can choose concrete or gravel sites. Most have fire pits, room for parking an extra vehicle, and full hook-ups. Beautiful pool, game room, restrooms, and laundry facilities. The staff in the office is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Several restaurants are nearby, and it is just a short drive to the National Park, Dollywood, and many other attractions and shopping.
