A very quiet and clean place to stay. A little outdated but the rooms were a great size.It was within walking distance to manyou shops and restaurants. Only bad thing is the laundry facility wasnt usable at that time.

"Great location/stay but needs a little love :)"
August, 2016
Great location, AWESOME pool, creek view is awesome, but the rooms are def in need of some remodeling (especially the bath), but overall was pleased with the stay.
Tip: Very convenient location with an awesome little pizza place a short walk away (Geno's). But not in the middle of all of the chaos. Went during peak season, so a little pricey, but was satisfied and had a great stay!

"stay away"
August, 2016
I have traveled many places here and abroad, but never have experienced anything this horrible. there were huge unidentified stains.. mold in the fridge, some one prior to us, had left a food carry out carton, and soda in the fridge... the trash can by the elevators were full for 2 days. unable to get a refund, paid in advance. this place doesn't even deserve one star... please stay far away from this place,,,

"Affordable Stay"
July, 2016
Nice place for a stay located near many area attractions and a short drive to the Smokies. I liked that it was far enough from the busy downtown area yet close enough to enjoy all of Gatlinburg. Had an issue with our first room but was quickly accommodated to another. The small seating area on the back with the river view was very relaxing. Staff was peasant and very accommodating.

"Nice affordable getaway"
July, 2015
The resort was well located, close to everything, but away from the busier part of town. Easy access to both the Smokey Mountains and Pigeon Forge attractions. Comfortable accomodations with a lovely patio overlooking a running stream. Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was not what I had hoped for, but over all a good place to stay.

"Good place to stay !!"
July, 2015
I stayed at the brookside resort with my girlfriend and our son for our vacation . Our three nights there were great , it was quiet not too crowded. The a/c worked great, room was nice and clean. You have your own little patio with a couple chairs and a small table. It less then half a mile down the road from all the main attractions such as the Ripleys aquarium. I'd definitely book another vacation here

"Great Stay"
July, 2015
My husband and I stayed here in April. The price was awesome! The room wasn't anything spectacular but it was doable. I'm very picky when it comes to staying at hotels or anywhere other than my home. But I survived staying here! The creekside is gorgeous if you get the right angle. Very peaceful. We slept with the window open and I've never slept so good! My husband had their breakfast and said it was good. We have recommended this place to friends and family and have said to stay here again on our next vacation. Oh, and for us it was in the perfect location. Right down the road from the the Gatlinburg strip and not too far from a place we love eating at!
Tip: what you see on the website is not what you may see in person. But that's for anywhere you stay.

What a wonderful place to stay close to everything you need to be. The rooms are large clean and comfortable. We had a room with fireplace and the balcony door opened onto a gurgling creek which was just so peaceful to sit and relax too. Their is also decent pools with slides and waterfall

"Good stay at Brookside."

We first tried to stay at Carr's to retrace our Gatlinburg trip 19 years ago. Carr's is still closed due to November 2016 fire damage but recommended Brookside, its nearby competitor. Brookside worked well. Best ratings for its comfortable beds, affordability, unique location on Roaring Creek and helpful staff. Place is rather worn but not as a distraction. Better-than-average continental breakfast.

If you like to be in the mountains and a just a short space from town this is your spot. Yes it is a little outdated. But ..the hospitality and the rooms are great..as well as the location. We loved looking at the river from our balcony, and out the front door the mountains. The breakfast each morning is wonderful! It includes something for everyone one. The grands loved the brook as did we..who doesn't mind falling asleep to the sounds of water over rocks! The location is so much better then in town..quiet yet close and on the trolley line. The pool and the slides were a hit with the grands.we enjoyed them too. We will book here again.

"Decent place on the stream"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed August 09, 2017 NEW
We stayed a recent July Saturday night. I've been here before so knew what to expect. Rates ($135/night) seemed a little high for a room that hasn't been updated since 1980 much , but it was nice being on the stream. This should have been an $85/night room AC worked good, had a old but very cold mini fridge and decent TV. Didn't use the fireplace but it would have been nice in winter and had a small couch. The bathroom had been updated. It had a nice "raised bowl" since cut out of stone. The mattress and pillow were very comfortable also. I will say the room was very clean and the old pool was as much fun for my son as it was for me in the 1970's with the water-slide. Hot tub was nice and hot. Breakfast was just average.... Wasn't bad but wasn't too impressed either. It would be nice if it opened before 8am though as who wants to wait that late for breakfast? (especially if you want to leave early for hiking), Parking was ample even though they were 100% full and check in was easy. Front desk was very friendly and helpful 2 days later to find an item we accidentally left in the room. Overall this is a great place. Just needs a little updating to justify $135/night compared to other basic amenity hotels. Especially when I go now and look on Booking.com and can get the same room for $79 (for 2 weeks from now) If updated and/or better reflected rates I would have rated this 4 or 5 stars I also couldn't get the online booking to work at brooksideresort.com and two weeks later it still doesn't work. Onsite Internet worked fine but was a real pain in the butt every hour or two having to put in the WIFI Password over and over again and click the use agreement. Hotel needs to fix this. You shouldn't have to do this more than once a day. Verizon Wireless had good 4G strength in this location. Would I stay here again? Yes... I just love that stream since I was a kid. Just a little pricey for what you get.

The lady who checked me and my husband in was rude and no accomadating at all. Beds were hard. The only thing good about the hotel was the hot shower and pressure in shower and views. The rest is not worth the nearly 100 bucka we paid
