A very quiet and clean place to stay. A little outdated but the rooms were a great size.It was within walking distance to manyou shops and restaurants. Only bad thing is the laundry facility wasnt usable at that time.

"Great location/stay but needs a little love :)"
August, 2016
Great location, AWESOME pool, creek view is awesome, but the rooms are def in need of some remodeling (especially the bath), but overall was pleased with the stay.
Tip: Very convenient location with an awesome little pizza place a short walk away (Geno's). But not in the middle of all of the chaos. Went during peak season, so a little pricey, but was satisfied and had a great stay!

"stay away"
August, 2016
I have traveled many places here and abroad, but never have experienced anything this horrible. there were huge unidentified stains.. mold in the fridge, some one prior to us, had left a food carry out carton, and soda in the fridge... the trash can by the elevators were full for 2 days. unable to get a refund, paid in advance. this place doesn't even deserve one star... please stay far away from this place,,,

"Affordable Stay"
July, 2016
Nice place for a stay located near many area attractions and a short drive to the Smokies. I liked that it was far enough from the busy downtown area yet close enough to enjoy all of Gatlinburg. Had an issue with our first room but was quickly accommodated to another. The small seating area on the back with the river view was very relaxing. Staff was peasant and very accommodating.

"Nice affordable getaway"
July, 2015
The resort was well located, close to everything, but away from the busier part of town. Easy access to both the Smokey Mountains and Pigeon Forge attractions. Comfortable accomodations with a lovely patio overlooking a running stream. Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was not what I had hoped for, but over all a good place to stay.

"Good place to stay !!"
July, 2015
I stayed at the brookside resort with my girlfriend and our son for our vacation . Our three nights there were great , it was quiet not too crowded. The a/c worked great, room was nice and clean. You have your own little patio with a couple chairs and a small table. It less then half a mile down the road from all the main attractions such as the Ripleys aquarium. I'd definitely book another vacation here

"Great Stay"
July, 2015
My husband and I stayed here in April. The price was awesome! The room wasn't anything spectacular but it was doable. I'm very picky when it comes to staying at hotels or anywhere other than my home. But I survived staying here! The creekside is gorgeous if you get the right angle. Very peaceful. We slept with the window open and I've never slept so good! My husband had their breakfast and said it was good. We have recommended this place to friends and family and have said to stay here again on our next vacation. Oh, and for us it was in the perfect location. Right down the road from the the Gatlinburg strip and not too far from a place we love eating at!
Tip: what you see on the website is not what you may see in person. But that's for anywhere you stay.

Walked in to stay here after experiencing buggy website of theirs . They claimed a $69 a night double room creekside online, but every time I tried to book it their website went into a circle. So I had stayed here before years ago. Wonderful experience then. Obviously there has been a big big big change. Not a friendly reception upon arrival. I felt upon arrival like I was a burden to show up there . The impression they made was "what are you doing here can I help you ?" I asked them to price match the advertised rate from their website since their website was having problems and I couldn't seem to book online. This was not Groupon site or Expedia etc it was the Brookstone website. He refused . Woman behind counter chimed in and said you'll have to book it online and come back in. I said "why can't you just match it and keep me from the trouble this is ridiculous" . I asked her to call owner if she didn't have authority etc. Guy said "I'm not calling owner because I know what she'll say" . How does he know that? I felt disrespected at that point and I said " the reviews I read say that the front desk staff is rude and you know I have to agree" They challenged me to write my own review so here it .....so sad this place has gone to the dogs here... it used to be great. Found another better hotel not far away and much better service .

My partner and I stayed here for almost a week while we hiked the trails. We were in a king room and as some have said parts of it were a bit antiquated, but we thought it was a part of the cabin like charm. Our bathroom however, had been recently renovated and was beautiful with a raised sink. We had plenty of space with an open kitchenette and a fireplace. The microwave and refrigerator looked a little dated but worked amazingly well. Plus, we had our comforts like a flat-screen TV and wifi in the room. I think this place is definitely worth it. My complaint is that the firewood was mostly wet and difficult to light, and you kept having to buy more every night if you wanted it- it's not included. Also, bring food for breakfast or plan on buying your own. They have biscuits and gravy and that is it. It's a walkable distance from the main drag, but you probably won't want to if you come out when it is cold since it would be a longer jaunt. Definitely will be staying here again.

We have stayed here before and have tried other hotels since but came back to the Brookside. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beds aren't too hard and they give you a choice of pillows. They had updated the bathrooms on our floor and they were nice but they need to have the work crew come back and redo some of their work. The staff was friendly and breakfast was okay. The only complaint was after I got home and looked at my receipt, I was charged more per night then the booking sight said. They may have averaged the nightly room rates but I thought we should have been charged different amount for weeknights from weekends but the receipt had the same rate. Still we will go back to the Brookside next time.

We booked 2 rooms under the impression (from other reviews and speaking to someone from the hotel) that the rooms were small. What we got were 2 enormous, cold, totally old and outdated, smelly rooms with strange layouts and fireplaces that were black and dirty. The rooms did connect; the one room had a kitchenette from the 70's and we were afraid to use anything based on the smell. There were dead crickets on the floor in both rooms, stains on the carpet, no blinds or window coverings and the strangest part was you could go out on the patio/balcony but don't let the door shut behind you! The door locked behind you and the keys did not fit so if the door shut, you were caught out there & you're just stuck! The front desk gave us firewood for the fireplaces but after setting the bundle down, bugs crawled out of it. Oh and yes, there wasa continental breakfast in a small closet type room, made by the smoking housekeeper who had 5 missing teeth and yellow fingernails. Who knows what was in that oatmeal!! Maybe a opossum!? It was scary but the scariest part was what we found on the sheets: blood. Yes. BLOOD. In one of the queen beds we did notnend up using, blood was on the pillow case, flat sheet and fitted sheet and even on the mattress. The housekeeper must not have changed the sheets but just pulled the comforter back up over them, smoked a ton in the room, sprayed some cheap room freshener and called it a day! SOOOOOO gross. We brought it to the front desks attention but they said that if we had told them prior to sleeping/spending the night, they would have corrected it but since we had already spent the night, they couldn't do anything for us. The heater didn't work, there were outside lights that shined in our window ALL night and we heard the traffic thru the thin windows. Do not stay here. Do not waste your money. Do not give them your business. Poor excuse for a hotel. You're better off staying in a tent.

The room and staff were great. They upgraded us to bigger room for no extra charge. We stay 3 nights. Good price. We loved the view of the creek from the balcony. It's a little walk to downtown but not bad walk.
