"FUN!!!"
August, 2018 NEW
My family was looking for some fun and relaxation and we found it!! Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park was what we needed! The hiking trails were fantastic, the obstacle course was great and exhausting. i'm a little embarrassed they said it's for smaller kids because it kicked my butt!! My son and husband raced through it and we had so much fun! The food is fantastic to say the least, we all got something different so we could share and it was all delicious! The zipline tour was phenomenal as well, our guides Chas and Conner made us feel at ease and made us laugh, they're quite the joke tellers! Definitely recommend visiting Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

"I get it"
August, 2018 NEW
Our family has been ziplining a few times in various places. I like that these courses don't require wearing gloves and self-braking. I'm not a huge fan of the carriages which could hit you in the face... other places have longer straps and no handles. Don't let that stop you from coming here, though. The waterfall course is good but nothing special compared to other places. The goliath course (if all your party is old/heavy enough to do it) looks like it would be really cool.

Negatives were:
1) No drinking water is provided along the course, and there's no way provided to bring your own. This is not good during hot summer days.
2) Some of the guides spend a good portion of their time with you asking you to leave reviews, and asking you to mention their names in the reviews, etc. One of our guides also spent a considerable amount of time telling us about how he works 3 jobs, and is trying to save for college, etc. etc. etc. Of course at they end they say tips are appreciated but never expected... right. I don't mind giving a tip at the end of the course but this was kind of a turn-off and it got old.

"Zip Line Experience Awesome, Other Service not so much"
June, 2018
My Husband and 27year old son had the time of their lives on the Zip lines. The guides were awesome and it was an experience they will never forget. I was very disappointed when they charged us an additional $60 for myself and my 2 grandson's to stay below. The explanation was that we would be able to experience the rock wall, rope course, etc while they were up in the trees. They were scheduled for the last tour of the say so we quick grabbed some BBQ and then sent the guys up. My grandsons and I could NOT do any activities below as there was a team of people mowing the grounds and kicking up grass, bugs and debris everywhere. Also the courses all said attendant must be present and there were none anywhere around. I walked them across the rope bridge and back and then we sat at the tower for an hour a half in scorching sun waiting for guys to come down. It was only in the last 30 minutes or so a nice young man approached us on the tower and engaged us in conversation about our travel and entertained the boys. He apparently was the photographer also waiting for the guys to come down. I was very disappointed leaving there with two very sad boys that they were unable to enjoy the amenities while their father and grand father had such a great time on the zip line and it was made worse that they charged us $60. We also paid over $50 for the BBQ lunch and $190 for the zip lines.

We recently decided to visit Foxfire as we've seen it advertised ever since we've been going to Pigeon Forge. Since we weren't familiar with the area we decided to just pay to go walking. The cost was $43 for two people after discount. This seem expensive to just get to walk 2 trails and cross The Swinging Bridge that they advertise. The Swinging Bridge is nice and definitely the longest one in the area. However there are numerous swinging bridges in the Pigeon Forge area that are free. We hike the trail up to the waterfall which is about one and a half miles round-trip. The trail climb steadily up heel from The Swinging Bridge and then Loops above the waterfall. The trail is not overly difficult for most people. We are both 70 years old and made the climb with no problem. It can get a little steep in a few places. The waterfall is pretty but not to the extent that it's worth paying $43 to see considering how many free waterfalls there are throughout the Smoky Mountains. There is also a nice hard cider store to visit and a few animals to see. If you go to zipline or ATV or do any of the other activities this entry cost is included in the price of the activity. So if you are going to go to Foxfire Mountain I highly recommend you go to do one of the other activities as it is not worth the price just walk around. The area is pretty and fairly well maintained though it is showing its age. It is not as large as I thought it would be from the brochures. The staff and family that owned it are very nice but it is about 20 to 30 minutes away from downtown Pigeon Forge so it is not as convenient as most of the activities in the area. There are also endless choices for zip lining in and around Pigeon Forge including several that are in the city itself. I enjoy zip lining and have zip line several times in Pigeon Forge. From what I saw the zip lines here look like they would be lots of fun.

My husband and I toured for our second time on the Goliath. No other zipline tour will ever compare, and the guides (Aaron and Greg) were super fun and personable. The guides make the experience more relaxing for those that might be a little more nervous about zip lining. I can’t wait to come back!!
