"Horseback riding in Pigeon Forge"
August, 2016
It was my second time in the area and I appreciated this time appreciated not having to drive so far to go horseback riding. Convenient location in Pigeon Forge, across from the Outlets and close to Dollywood. The staff was friendly and efficient. We had a wonderful experience!
Tip: Plan to get there ahead of time. Traffic is a little heavy on the Parkway at certain times.

"scared out of my mind"
April, 2015
I had a good time. But, I was very scared the whole time. my horse got spoked from another horse in a field he jumped the fence and charged my horse. and my horse jumped up twice on me and was spoked and was very on edge the rest of the ride. She kicked another horse in the face. I was just scared the whole time. I recommend a guide in the front and the back. I was in the very back and the guide was 12 horses in front of me and couldn't control the situtuation . Very scary. but, I understand they can't control animals I just recommend two guides on a trip
Tip: wear the helmet

The employees matched the horses up with the riders and did a great job. There was an autistic child that was along for the ride and the guides did a wonderful job. They made him feel safe and were patient. I was glad to see that they made him feel so welcomed.
Tip: There are some great pictures along the way!

We were at Five Oaks Saturday, November 26th and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The party included myself, my husband, and our two daughters ages 4 and 7. We had no prior experience with horses and before we set off we met a very friendly gentleman on staff who introduced my two children to "Dum Dum," one of their largest horses. I truly wished I has gotten his name because he took the time with the kids to meet the horse and even picked my oldest daughter up so that she could get up close and personal with "Dum Dum". If anyone from management is reading this, I recall that he told me that one of his daughters is expecting twins on December the 13th. Please let him know how much we appreciated him. Right after meeting one of the horses it was time to ride and to my youngest daughter's surprise and excitement we were paired up with none other than "Dum Dum!" Although she was hesitant to pet him at first, she was overjoyed to be so lucky to get to ride him. My 7 year old fell in love with her beautiful horse and our guide Johnny made her feel very comfortable being in the saddle by herself. He was very warm and friendly and we enjoyed talking with him along the trail. I understand that for an experienced rider, this may not be what you are looking for, but for us it was perfect. We live in a rural area full of horses, but don't own any ourselves and don't have any close personal friends with horses to allow us the opportunity to ride one. We were so glad to find somewhere that could give us an experience that was well fitting for a first time rider and didn't intimidate or overwhelm our children. To the staff of Five Oaks, we thank you for an enjoyable experience and we look forward to coming again in the spring!

Nice ride and some good views of the mountains at times. Guides were fun and good with the kids. More experienced riders might be bored with the tour. Be sure to listen to the guides when they give directions and tell you not to let your horses pass or get too close together - as they know best how the horses interact with each other.

Great little stop for us. I have wanted to horseback ride for years. While I enjoyed the scenery the ride was lackluster. The hour ride is definitely good for kids or beginner riders.

This was a great experience with the exception of the "no refund policy". We had one member of our group of 7 who climbed the first tower and just could not go down the zip line. She climbed back down the tower and rode back to the office where we started. The lady at the desk, "Madi", was incredibly rude to our group member and repeated that they have no refunds. When the rest of the group finished the zip line we inquires about a refund for our one member and Madi again said no refunds. She then told us she could not tell us the manager on duty or the owners names. The guides and the actual zip line experience was great, but "Madi's" attitude is enough for our group to look at other options in the future. The bad attitude of Madi was unexpected and put a damper on the entire experience.
