The staff was super friendly, and we enjoyed ourselves. The only downfall was the people in front of us didn't know how to control their horses and slowed everyone down to a crawl.

"scared out of my mind"
April, 2015
I had a good time. But, I was very scared the whole time. my horse got spoked from another horse in a field he jumped the fence and charged my horse. and my horse jumped up twice on me and was spoked and was very on edge the rest of the ride. She kicked another horse in the face. I was just scared the whole time. I recommend a guide in the front and the back. I was in the very back and the guide was 12 horses in front of me and couldn't control the situtuation . Very scary. but, I understand they can't control animals I just recommend two guides on a trip

The employees matched the horses up with the riders and did a great job. There was an autistic child that was along for the ride and the guides did a wonderful job. They made him feel safe and were patient. I was glad to see that they made him feel so welcomed.

Highly recommend the horse back riding tour! Last roughly an hour, and well worth the cost. Our guide Jess was extremely knowledgeable and took great care of her crew.

Man oh man what an experience. I fell in loving with the horse I rode named Patches. It was an hour trail walk up and down the hills/mountains. The scenery was beautiful. I was nervous about riding horse for the first time, although I was very comfortable riding all alone.

My boyfriend and I decided to stop in for an afternoon horse back ride and I’m glad we did. Our guide Jess was awesome very friendly and great personality. We did have a small group of only 4 so that made the experience even better. I had been to this facility before with a larger group and it was still a lovely time. Horses are gentle and it’s very beginner focused you can’t go wrong if you’re looking for an adorable horse back ride through the smokies.

"Muddy trails and tired horses"

I was surprised that they didn't cancel the horseback riding when we went. It was so muddy the horses were slipping and having trouble. 90% of this trail is mud. There really aren't good views. I felt so bad for the horses. Daryl saddled up the horses roughly. They had signs about tipping and we were also told we should tip our guide. After paying $140 for 4 people maybe you should pay your employees better and not expect your customers to pay even more. The best part of the day was the lobby cat named boots. This is just a money stable.

Five Oaks Riding Stables was an awesome experience. My girlfriend and I had never been Horseback riding and we were so glad we took advantage of this opportunity. Five Oaks was very professional, charming, clean, and safe. The horses rode well and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Our tour guide Jess was sweet, well-rounded, and super helpful. She made the ride with her attitude. I recommend anyone interested to come and enjoy the views horseback with Five Oaks!
