"Dollywood"

Dollywood is a reduced Southern version of Disney World. The shows were entertaining. We are retired so a lot of the rides didn't appeal to us. The food was way over priced.
Tip: Bring lots of money - Go to the park after 3pm and stay for the fireworks then go back the next day for free! Also park your car free at the Patriot Park and take the Trolley for $0.50

"Boring and disappointing...will never go back"
August, 2016
With exception of the few water rides and two roller coasters, there are better and more rides at the state fair. Dollywood is okay for little kids and the elderly. My family did not enjoy Dollywood at all. Way over priced disappointment. Should have gone to the fair.

"Lots to do for all ages"
August, 2016
My kids loved the story house plays, there was an area just for their age and the park was good at separating the rides on that basis. We spent a lot of money but lucky to catch the park during a time when crowds were small. Really enjoyed the opportunities to get out of the heat.
Tip: Fun in the sun

After being frequent visitors to Silver Dollar City we chose to drive a lot further and visit Dollywood. We were severely let down as we expected something better than Silver Dollar City in Branson. The main differences are at Dilver Dollar City the workers are knowledgeable tradespeople who have made a living doing or making the crafts and talk about and tell stories about what they are doing to make sure you feel like you're part of the show. At Dollywood lots of things were on display but it had the feel of a gift store as opposed to a handcraft marketplace where the people selljng things actually made the things being sold. Dollywood felt so impersonal.

We travelled from the UK to Dollywood to celebrate my 40th Birthday. Have to admit my husband was less than thrilled about my plans. Despite all my research I'm not sure he knew what to expect. We travelled from Gatlinburg early on a Sunday morning and parked in the Dollywood lot - I didn't have time to waste so was happy to pay the fee. We got the trolley to the gate and our day began. Having been to Disney parks in Florida, Paris and California I wasn't expecting the rides at Dollywood to compare. I was wrong and even my husband agreed the rides here were amazing, he even said the rides here were better. We rode them all and loved them. It had promised rain so this may have meant the park was not too busy at first so we didn't queue. My husband admitted that he thought the whole park would be a tribute to Dolly and a little bit twee. Whilst there is an area dedicated to Dolly and her career it is not overwhelming for anyone that isn't a dolly fan (if there is such a person). Personally I loved the museum, tour bus tour (still can't believe I was on Dolly's tour bus) and the show with her brother, cousins and niece. Also loved looking at her childhood home. My husband enjoys telling everyone that Dolly ate Spam as a child (perhaps she still does). The park is well laid out and you are never far from a rest room, food or drink outlet. We had a quick stop for a hot dog for lunch which kept a us full until dinner so great value really. In my haste to get in to the park I hadn't really thought about what to do with my bag until it was too late. On every ride they have stores for you to put your personal belongings if you don't want to hire a locker. The park did get busy after lunch but still wasn't a problem and queues were acceptable. We spent the whole day there and left via the gift shop to stock up on essential dolly items. I loved my day, it was everything I imagined and more. It's a true family theme park for all ages with a dolly twist. Just got to save up for my 50th birthday visit now .....

Any items purchased in our merchandise shops will be delivered to the Dollywood Emporium for you to pick up as you exit the park at the end of your day. Let the merchandise host know that you’d like to use Package Pickup. You’ll receive a card indicating the time your item(s) will be ready. What are the parking fees at Dollywood?

Are coolers or outside food or drink allowed at Dollywood?
No, after careful consideration of park policies across the nation, consultation with health and safety experts and much consideration of the welfare of our guests and employees alike, we are unable to allow coolers, food or drinks into Dollywood. Although we do not allow food or drink to be brought into the Park, Dollywood offers a wide variety of delicious foods available at our restaurants and snack vendors. (Special dietary needs should be addressed with the Foods Office prior to arrival at 865-428-9428.) However, if you would like to eat elsewhere or must leave for any reason during the day, remember to get your hand stamped and keep your admission ticket, then you can return later that same day. Dollywood does not have picnic areas at the park, but if you would like to picnic somewhere, the Smoky Mountains National Park is a great place to visit.

Can I leave the park and return that same day?
Yes. You will need to have your hand stamped at the exit at the Dollywood Emporium. Keep your ticket so it can be scanned when you return.

Are strollers available for rent?
A limited number of single and double strollers are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Single strollers and double strollers are available to rent for an additional fee.

What items are prohibited at the park?

Yes. Dollywood staffs three Safety/First Aid Offices—one in the Jukebox Junction area near the Pines Theatre, one in Wilderness Pass near River Battle and another in The Village area near the train crossing—with medical personnel on duty at all times during park hours.

What is the smoking policy at Dollywood?
If you smoke, please utilize the many designated smoking areas indicated on the Park Map. Smoking is strictly forbidden on all rides, queue lines, indoor theaters, attractions, shops, and restaurants.

Are baby changing and nursing stations available at the park?
Baby Care Centers, located in the Showstreet, Wilderness Pass, and Country Fair areas, offer nursing areas, changing stations and family restrooms. There are also nursing stations available at the restrooms in Country Fair, Jukebox Junction, Market Square, The Village and Craftman's Valley near the Woodcarving Shop.

Although pets are not permitted inside Dollywood, the one-of-a-kind kennel, Doggywood, is available for the convenience of our guests and their dogs.  The daily rental fee provides each dog its own water supply, and a walk area is located adjacent to the building so owners can spend time with their pets without having to leave the park. Space is limited, and reservations are highly recommended. Please call 865-428-9826 during park operating hours. Without a reservation, all kennels at Doggywood will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. *Please note: Doggywood can only accommodate dogs.

Service animals for guests with disabilities are allowed inside Dollywood.

Does Dollywood offer rain checks on tickets?

Rain checks are distributed at the Season Pass Center and are valid until the end of the season. You must request the rain check on the day of your visit before leaving the park.

Why do my Dollywood E-Tickets only have one name listed on them?
The name on the E-Ticket is the primary ticket holder but the tickets are valid for all within your party.
