Dollywood is a Pigeon Forge vacation must! The park offers plenty to do for all ages. Plan on lots of walking. Make sure to get a park map and show schedule when you arrive. When you're thirsty, ask for a cup of water at any food stand. It's free!

Even if rain is in the forecast, go to Dollywood. You’ll experience shorter wait times, fewer crowds, and more chances to ride your favorite coaster or ride over and over again. We walked right onto Tennessee Tornado, Wild Eagle, and Mystery Mine!

"Worth the money to visit."
June, 2018 NEW
Will definitely be going back as there were many things we never got to do even tho we stayed for 5 nights. Plenty to see and do for the whole family. Food prices are high at Dollywood but other than that it is worth the time and money to visit. You may want to pack a lunch if you plan to spend the day at Dollywood.

Fun for the family. Not many rides for 40" and 42" children that can be ridden alone, 16 or over must accompany them.

"Fun day"
June, 2018 NEW
The day we visited was amazing weather and we only waited in line for about 20 mins for any ride we wanted to get on. We unfortunately didn’t get to see any shows, but I heard they are amazing. We also purchased the photo package which was all the photos for any ride and any photo you took at the photo ops the my had. I highly recommend it.

This great staff retrieved a lost item in a precarious place beneath a ride. They turned a bad experience into a good one. My gratitude to all involved, especially Barb.

"Large people disappointment!"

Dollywood is a beautiful place. The landscaping is beautiful, the people are friendly, there are places to sit and rest throughout... but... if you are over 6 ft tall and bigger than about 240 pounds, don't waste your money. You will not fit on the rides. Very disappointing that we are in the year 2018 and they are making rides that do not accommodate larger people. Disney does not have this issue so why should Dollywood? It's a shame because it is so beautiful but I will not be going back since my whole family cannot enjoy the rides.

"Be prepared to walk up hills."
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed June 22, 2018 NEW
We spent 2 days here and for those of us in wheelchairs and scooters there are signs advising not to ride them up hills and transfering to most rides is impossible. Shopping is average things except for Dolly's Closet with her stylt clothes in it which are beautiful and it has plus sizes. Our grandchilldren 10 and 13 couldn't handle the heat in the 90''s so we went back to the water park for most of our 2 days where they had a riot but the cost of food was very expensive so we brought our own the second day and ate in the shade just outside the entrance. Perhaps our older grandkids would love it but the little ones just weren't up to going back to the amusement park.

Are coolers or outside food or drink allowed at Dollywood?
No, after careful consideration of park policies across the nation, consultation with health and safety experts and much consideration of the welfare of our guests and employees alike, we are unable to allow coolers, food or drinks into Dollywood. Although we do not allow food or drink to be brought into the Park, Dollywood offers a wide variety of delicious foods available at our restaurants and snack vendors. However, if you would like to eat elsewhere or must leave for any reason during the day, remember to get your hand stamped and keep your admission ticket, then you can return later that same day. Dollywood does not have picnic areas at the park, but if you would like to picnic somewhere, the Smoky Mountains National Park is a great place to visit.

Can I leave the park and return that same day?
Yes. You will need to have your hand stamped at the exit at the Dollywood Emporium. Keep your ticket so it can be scanned when you return.
