"This was awesome family fun!"
June, 2018
My family loved! My 3 kids ages 20, 18, & 15 are very active & adventurous & this did NOT disappoint! Our guide was helpful...could have spoken a little louder. Difficult for front rafters to hear directions. Best part was letting us jump out of raft; swimming & flowing down the river! My youngest immediately after finishing was asking when we could white water raft again! Great time. The company was well run & organized. Definitely recommend the Upper Pigeon for an adventure!

"Big Creek Expeditions was AWESOME!"
August, 2016
We went on an Upper Pigeon river rafting trip, and it was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and really accommodating to my son with autism. There were SOOOO many rafts in the water, and it was obvious that so many of the other guides were too young and inexperienced. I was really thankful we chose Big Creek, based on the experience level of the guides alone. The office was really accommodating as well, and the photos turned out really great.

The experience was amazing. Me or my son had never even been in a boat and so we were a little nervous. But the young girl that took us was awesome. Sweet, funny and made the experience great. Already planning on going again next month!

Adam was our guide for this trip..we always ask for him. This is a friendly company which really provides a great, safe experience on the class 3 and 4 Rapids of this section of the Pigeon River. Our guests loved the trip, especially the 15 year old! Adam is very competent and engaging, telling us about the river and rapids and helping make sure we paddle as needed. Will definitely be back and recommend to others!!

Booked a family float and when we arrived was encouraged to move up to the next level trip that included class 2, 3 and 4 rapids. We took the advice and headed down river with Amanda as our guide. Amanda was simply the best, always making sure we were safe, taking time to call out names of each rapid and information about the surrounding area. While we really loved having Amanda, the entire crew on river and in the office was professional, helpful and did everything to ensure we were safe first but also having a great time. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

I went on the Upper Falls (class III and IV, higher difficulty) with 4 people from another family. Our guide was Amanda and she was GREAT. She gave us information about the area, plants, animals, and got us all engaged with each other. I recommend you request her to be your guide. Made my first white water rafting trip awesome!

Wife and I booked a rafting trip to which our booking company messed up our reservation. We were told at 10:30am but they actually had us down for 1:30pm. No biggie to Big Creek accommodated us in and got us out by 10:30. Our guide was Elton and he was super nice and knowlegable, sharing history as well as some educational facts along our trip. Albeit worth mentioning that the entire staff was super friendly and helpful. Rapids were good and we were able to capture the experience, a first for us on our go pro at no extra charge. They even supplied the helmets with gopro mounts for free. Awesome place, highly recommended! We plan on taking our sons when they're old enough.
